Our fresh, new theme for 2013 is: “Knowing the Lord of the Harvest” – to Know Him and to Make Him Known.What is a Harvest? A harvest is a period, season, or process of gathering ripen crops.Galatians 6:7-9 records: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Harvesting is what we do when the seeds that we have sown in the past are ready to for a season of reaping
In this new series we shall focus on victorious principles for success in your life of Sowing, Waiting and Reaping. This series of sermons shall begin with the Lord’s interest in your personal harvest levels and shall move to the Lord’s interest in our church’s harvest levels. Both Matthew 9:38 and Luke 10:2 refers to Jesus as the Lord of the Harvest: “After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.”
