LET HIS GLORY BE SEEN IN 2014

Greetings in the thrill of living for Jesus!

My personal definition of the word “glory,” means to see God at His very best. During this year's (2013-2014) Annual Watch Night Service, I preached a sermon from Exodus 33:17-23, where Moses requests to see the Lord’s glory in verse eighteen.  I would think that with all that Moses and the children of Israel have experienced firsthand, that Moses had already witnessed the best that the Lord had to offer.  Moses had heard the actual voice of God, he had seen the omnipotent hand of God in delivering them from Egyptian slavery.  Moses observed the might of God open the Red Sea and later drown Pharaoh’s army.  In the wilderness, the Hebrews were led by a cooling cloud by day and a warming fire by night. They were given manna when they were hunger and water when they were thirsty and Moses has the nerve to request to see the glory of God?  Moses had the wisdom to know that there was still more of the Lord to be seen . . . His Glory!

Whenever you are at your lowest point in life, like Moses, request to see the Glory of God in your life!  Make it your desire to experience the best that the Lord had to offer. During 2014, I want the FCBC Love Family to add to our vocabulary: “To the Glory of God” or “To God be the Glory!”  May the Spirit of the Living God make us obsessed with the GLORY of the Lord in the midst of this congregation.
