Fill Up

No matter what seems to be missing from your life, be it a much loved person, a special place, an activity of great value or a feeling of well-being, release and let go, knowing that God is right now filling your need.

God’s love and goodness will always fill every need in your circumstances, every hunger of your heart, every longing of your soul for peace and assurance, every good desire for the expression of eternal life and well-being. Many times we rely on things and people who will eventually disappoint us. But, if we rely fully on God to fill the voids in our lives, then we will realize that his filling is permanent and will sustain us.

How many times have you been brokenhearted and felt as though you needed another person to fill up your time and give you what you THOUGHT you needed? Right...that temporary state of happiness is not what God intended for us. Try having real joy and look for a long-lasting satisfaction.

If we seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." - Matthew 6:33

There will sometimes be a sense of doubt when it comes to putting our faith on someone we can't see, but if you truly trust that God will supply your needs, and then He will! Faith comes by hearing...not by sight! We need to stop always seeking the tangible and be filled up on His Word, peace, love and things that no one can physically touch; because God has filled up from within.

Why ask God for more money, clothes, a new this or that when He can provide you with knowledge, guidance, understanding, faith, healing, support or whatever else is needed in your life. Whatever your life experience appears to be, you have, at this moment, an opportunity to let go personal striving and let God move in you, and through you to fill every need. Not saying that He won't provide us with money, clothes, and important people, but He will give us the right things versus what He knows we'll take and manipulate.

Today, I inspire you to think of a situation or void in your life that you're looking to fill. Then, take a moment to pray and ask God to fill you with Him and take away the desire to fill those voids with things of the world.

For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world." - 1 John 2:16

Next, leave that prayer there; seek things that can sustain you. Let Him fill you up and anytime you feel like you're on E, I can assure you that His gas prices won't rise.

Rise & Shine

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. - Matthew 5:14-16

Have you ever taken out the time to think about the phrase "Rise and Shine" and its meaning? Many times in its context, all it means is get up, get to work or school, or to jump-start your day. But, if you really think about it, and break those two words down, you'll come to the understanding that rising is mustering up the strength to start again. And to shine is to be a light even when the sun isn't shining.

Today, I encourage you to take whatever dark situations you may be in and trust that God will see you through. I ask you to not be dispirited by things you can't control. However, I inspire you to let your light shine. Be the speck of light at the end of someone else's dark tunnel. If you let the Son within you shine, you have no idea how much you may brighten someone's day!

Continue Seeking

He that diligently seeks good finds favor... - Proverbs 11:27

How easy is it to give up? Some may say that it's easier than trying, but I believe you'll be more hurt by the "would haves" and "could haves" if you give up before trying. In your decision to walk in the light and do good, you will face rejection, hardships, and losses. BUT, if you are steadfast in seeking God's will, you will find favor, and you will find that you're in His favor. When you feel you're at your worst, that's really when you're at your best in a Spiritual sense.

Sure, there will be closed doors and people who say you're not qualified enough, or even over-qualified. However, to open a closed door, we must wonder why it is closed. Are our plans matching up with God's? You'll know the answer to this as you experience the satisfaction or dissatisfaction of the things you desire.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

God will close a door to bring you closer to Him. Just as much as someone has the power to close a door on us, we have that much power, if not more to open it back up. You can do all things through Christ, who strengthens you (Phil 4:13). Today, I inspire you to continue to walk in God's light and seek what he has for you. What he has for you, is for you. Continue to chase after it.

Reutrn

No one is perfect. The only person who was perfect while on earth, died on a cross about 2000 years ago. Many times we forget that we're human, and we let our mistakes get the best of us. Never has anyone gone so far on the wrong path that they couldn't return to the right one. Many of us tend to use our sins and wrongdoings as a crutch, as we make up excuses as to why we can stay in that dark place...or even be with that person who God hasn't intended for us to be with. Being obedient will do you so much better than indulging in the things that don't last. Yes, God knows your heart in all that you do, but don't let that be the reason why you keep revisiting sinful ways. Micah 7:18-19 says,

"Where is the god who can compare with you—wiping the slate clean of guilt, Turning a blind eye, a deaf ear, to the past sins of your purged and precious people? You don't nurse your anger and don't stay angry long, for mercy is your specialty. That's what you love most. And compassion is on its way to us. You'll stamp out our wrongdoing.
You'll sink our sins to the bottom of the ocean" - (The Message).

Never has anyone become so wayward that they couldn't benefit from the true light. It's never too late to get back on track. You belong to God, and once you accept His gift of salvation, you're His! Once you go off of his path for you, you belong to the world. BUT - God will always await your return with open arms. Today, I inspire you leave your old ways behind you and return to the living truth.

Be He-Centered

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. - Galatians 5:6

Do you recall being in high school or middle school? Some memories may be vaguer than others, but I'm sure you remember that person who was so vein, that if no one was paying them attention, that made sure that didn't last long. Maybe it was the star athlete, the head cheerleader, the bully, or even you! Whoever it was, they were the ones that were called conceited, cocky and/or self-centered. No matter the name, if it's always all about you, where does God fit in?

Some don't think making God a priority is important; especially since they always want to have full control of their own lives. But once we've committed to being Christ-Centered, we'll be able to have the righteousness that comes from our true and living God. Like it says in Philippians 3:9
...and be found in him, not because I have my own righteousness derived from the law, but because I have the righteousness that comes by way of Christ’s faithfulness—a righteousness from God that is in fact based on Christ’s faithfulness.

Making the decision to turn your life from being me-centered to He-centered is one of the most important choices you can make. See how differently you treat people once you do, and see how your life transforms. Today, I inspire you to switch gears. Let the spotlight be on you only because you have the Light in you. Then, determine if life was better when it was all about you, or when you made it all about Him.

Be Blessed

"The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands..." - Deuteronomy 28:12

Isn't it a beautiful thing to attest to the blessings that God has given you? Yes! In Deuteronomy 28 there are so many blessings that are promised to us as long as we are obedient. Sounds easy right? Yep, until you fall into temptation and do some things you're not too proud of. It happens to all of us. We all fall short of the grace of God. Being a believer isn't a one-time thing. Once you commit to God and His will for your life, everything won't be easy for you. We were born into a sinful nature, but it's up to us to seriously submit and allow our old selves to die so that we may live a blessed life.

“Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.” - Luke 9:23-24

Being a disciple comes with a price. You're always going to be under attack, but when you're a follower of the Most High, no weapon formed against you shall prosper. No price is greater than the once Jesus paid for us. It's better to be blessed than to be cursed. Muddling will occur in our lives, but we cannot dwell on our shortcomings. What we can do is repent with sincerity in our hearts and pick up our cross once more time. Every day is a new day and one day with Jesus is better than a thousand elsewhere! All God wants to do is love us and bless us. If we remain obedient unto Him, we will receive those blessings and so much more! Today, I inspire you to choose to be blessed.

Change the World

If you could describe the word worship, as pertaining to spirituality, how would you do so? Many think of worship as being in church dancing, singing, shouting, etc., but true worship is given by the ways of our lifestyle. Listening to William McDowell's album As We Worship has opened my eyes to many different things on a spiritual level. He speaks about submission, faith, and changing the world.  Another gospel artist who makes it a point to let us know that we (each one of us), have the power to change the world, is Israel Houghton. If we all had the mentality that we - on our own - along with God's strength could change the world, the world would change. One of the most powerful statements that he made was this:

"We're not powerless, we're not without authority, but we're His agents in the earth. We are the generation. Change is not going to happen if we don't do it. If nothing changes with us, nothing changes. That's why God said, 'If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.' - 2 Chronicles 7:14. When we get this, the world will change. See we're brought into the mentality that the majority rules and we can't do anything by ourselves. But we don't live in a democracy, we live in the Kingdom. God and us are the majority! We can change the world!"

Imagine yourself being someone who could change the world. If you don't think it's possible, think again! God didn't put us here on earth to be stagnant; we're on this earth with purpose. I used to think that the things people saw in me were too great for me to ever accomplish, but the beauty of that is that they are. What's even more beautiful is that God did not create us ill-equipped for anything we were called to do. If a stranger can look at you and tell you that you're going to do something extraordinary, you better believe it, because that's what God created us for. We're not just meant to live in this world, but we're here to change it. Be the change you want to see!

Submit & Resist

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. - James 4:7

As believers, there will always be things in our lives that hold us back from fully submitting ourselves to God. God understands this, and we must understand that our God is a forgiving God. Although we are forgiven for our sins, that doesn't give us permission to fall into submission when we are tempted by the devil. We submit to God and resist the devil. The enemy is after us in so many different aspects of our lives, but it's our decision whether or not we will allow him to rejoice in our falters.

Many times we let idols, money, sex, lust, greed, envy, pride and so many other things of the world get in the way of our relationship with God. These are the little gods that we don't need in our lives - the enemy, the devil. These are the things that make us feel guilty once we're done letting them have their way with us. We need to let these things go...resist these things!

The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. - Dueteronomy 28:7

Today, I inspire you to submit yourself to God and pray for the strength to resist the enemy. If we resist the devil, "The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you." - Deuteronomy 29:8

Keep Trusting

Many times we find it difficult to trust in God when so many things are going wrong in our lives. This is just a test of our faith. God isn't responsible for the "wrongs", but when those things do show up in our lives, He's there to make sure we're equipped with what we need to overcome. But how can He cover us in times of hardship if we don't trust that he can do all things? For the Word says,

"You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you."
— Isaiah 26:3

Once you learn to fully put your trust in God, He will give you peace; perfect peace. Think about it: If we trust the Lord with our worries, money problems, heartache, sickness, depression and lack of, how peaceful would our lives be? If you've been trusting God for something that has yet to manifest, just know that His good and perfect will won't disappoint us. The scripture says those "whose mind is stayed on you" will be kept in perfect peace. Keep your mind on God and keep trusting him for your spiritual breakthrough and He will provide. Trust!

Give Props

“The LORD has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes." - Psalm 118:23 NIV

Have you ever done something that you may not had been able to do if it weren't for someone else? I'm sure we've all been there. But when this happens and we get praise for doing it, do we take all the credit, or do we give props where they are due? Sometimes it's easy to just say thank you and smile, but the right thing to do is humble yourself and let others know that it wasn't you who accomplished that task alone.

How many times have you been in a group project and just rode along for the ride and came out with an A? Yea, you got that A, but it wasn't because of the work you put in. Many times we tend to do this without even noticing. How many of us stop to give props and glory to God for all that he has provided to us to make us able to do what we do?
Luke 2:14 says "Glory to God in the highest heaven..." Never shortchange or forget to give praises to God because without Him, we'd just be here capable of nothing. He is every imaginable. He is our victory and our joy. Not only that, but believe it or not, He works through others. He uses our friends, coworkers, managers, etc. as His vessels to use us.

Today, I inspire you to give props where props are due. It doesn't have to be anything extravagant, all it takes is a simple "Thank you Lord, all the glory belongs to you."

Let Go, Let God

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don't forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ. - Philippians 4:6-7 NIV

Worry, pain, anger, financial stumps, hurt, pain, agony, jealous, fear, envy...all these things and guess how many you can God can handleAll of them. Isn't that a great thing to know? There are many times where our own pride gets in the way of us letting go of what we can't fix on our own, and trusting that with God's strength, grace and mercy, anything is possible.

There are so many things that we, as humans try to take control of that are just out of our hands. For instance: Some may hold on to past relationships, still trying to fix what they think is wrong. Others may try to fight an addiction without seeking any help but themselves. One may What should we do if not those things? Be faithful to God' word. Be obedient to the laws he laid out for us. Love others, pray and build a relationship with God. He wants to bless you, but if you're trying to keep hold of the steering wheel while juggling the cares of the world, you're bound to crash. It's okay to use auto-pilot once in a while.

Today, I hope to inspire you to let go of everything that has hurt you, made you angry, given you a headache and surrender those thoughts, problems and issues to God. Watch how He works.

Pray With Confidence

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. - 1 John 5:14-15 (NIV)

How many times have you prayed for something? How many of those times have you wondered why those prayers went unanswered? It's not that your prayers are every unanswered, but what happens is that God will answer prayers in unexpected ways. What the Bible talks about in 1 John 5:14 is the confidence we have in approaching God. How confident are you that God can make any and everything happen? Do you trust that God will come through for you? Sometimes we don't and that is why we don't get the answer we want when we pray.

If you are truly seeking God and his will for your life, you have to have faith! Faith isn't just saying you believe, but showing God that you trust him wholeheartedly. That's the confidence he's talking about. Think about the confidence that you have in your parents, that they will always be able to provide for you no matter what. Do you realize that sometimes they struggle, but always pull through for you? It didn't happen for them on their own strength, but by God's grace and mercy and the faith that they have in Him. If you truly trust and believe, lay all your cares and worries on him and watch him work.
The next time you pray, I inspire you to pray in faith and in confidence.

Deny Deferment

"But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded." - 2 Chronicles 15:7

Are you someone who is striving to achieve a goal? Do you have a list of things you want to conquer? Do you have dreams to be the greatest at something? These are the things that make us who we are and without them, what are we really living for? Sure, it's easy to give up when times get hard, but when we're discouraged, we let negativity and doubt get the best of us.

What God wants us to know is that our work never goes unrewarded. So many people expect blessings and don't realize it when they receive them. Yes, you may have worked extra hard to win that talent show just to come in at 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th place.
You shouldn't look for a trophy blessing; someone being moved or inspired by what you did is a blessing within itself.

Langston Hughes once wrote, "What happens to a dream deferred?" Don't answer that question, let it be and let us deny deferment. Let's put off the putting off and instead ask, "
What happens to a dream pursued?" Get out and make something happen today or the talent God has blessed you with will soon become obsolete. Don't allow your blessings go to waste, instead be motivated, keep dreaming, and once you wake up, work hard at it!

Do Good

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. - Galatians 6:9-10 NIV

What does it mean to be an outsider? To fall outside of the norms set by society? To go against the grain? To do good when those around you aren't? I would say all of the above. For many, being an outsider is one of the hardest decisions you can be faced with. But, as I have come to see it, being outside of the box people place you in, and doing good is far more important than doing what's "in" or cool.

Living in a world that places temptations in front of you everyday is challenging.  How are you to do right when so much wrong is sitting in front of your face? For me, that motivation come from the harvest I know I will reap from doing the good works. At times this walk becomes tiring and there are times where one may say - I'm done, but in any race or competition, we weren't meant to give up in the middle, but to continue until the end.

Although this walk is hard, if we don't faint, we'll see the fruits of our labor at the end. Only to persevere in well-doing is the reward promised. We shouldn't focus on what will come out of the bad things that we've done, but what God things will come out of the GoOD that we do. Today,  I inspire you to continue in doing good.

Love Your Enemies

"You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?" - Matthew 5:43-47 NIV

How many of us can say that we've been hurt by someone before? How many people in this world have enemies? Some of these things go without saying, and as easy as it may be to hurt those who hurt us, or hate those who hate us, we are instructed to love them.
If the world lived by the words "An eye for an eye", we'd all be blind. It's so much easier to live a loving life. When you love your enemies, you'll throw them off, and sooner or later, they'll have no reason to hate you. If you choose to love those who have crossed you, they'll soon be convicted by your love for them. Am I saying loving those who have went against us is the easiest thing to do, no! Love is not only a noun, but it's a verb and so much more.

If you find it hard to find love for others, think about the love God has for us. How many times have we gone against His Word and his Basic Instructions? How many times have we disappointed him, yet and still, he wakes us up in the morning out of pure love. He blesses us with so much, although we don't deserve it. Think back at what you may have done yesterday or even last week, did you really deserve God's love from cursing someone out, stealing, lying, or cheating? Of course not, but because
God loves us so much, He will always provide for us and never stop loving us.

You can never be too kind or loving to someone. In fact, most of us don’t show enough love and kindness to people around us. Being kind helps us to cultivate other qualities such as compassion, patience, and love. Start exuding more kindness to the people around you, and see how they react. Not only that, notice how you feel as you behave kindly to others. Chances are, you will feel even better than yourself. Today, I inspire you to love your enemies, be kind, exude love.

Control Your Speech

A bit in the mouth of a horse controls the whole horse. A small rudder on a huge ship in the hands of a skilled captain sets a course in the face of the strongest winds. A word out of your mouth may seem of no account, but it can accomplish nearly anything—or destroy it! It only takes a spark, remember, to set off a forest fire. A careless or wrongly placed word out of your mouth can do that. By our speech we can ruin the world, turn harmony to chaos, throw mud on a reputation, send the whole world up in smoke and go up in smoke with it, smoke right from the pit of hell. This is scary: You can tame a tiger, but you can't tame a tongue—it's never been done. The tongue runs wild, a wanton killer. With our tongues we bless God our Father; with the same tongues we curse the very men and women he made in his image. Curses and blessings out of the same mouth! - James 3:3-10 (The Msg)

This scripture alone says it all. The tongue is such a small part of our bodies, yet you can speak death or life with it. Most of the problems we face are due to our tongue. With our tongues, we lie, agree to commit sinful behaviors, and/or curse others.  You may say, "If no human can control the tongue, then why try?" Because with our tongues, we should be praising God, speaking words of encouragement to others, and bringing positive thoughts to life.

Think about what speaking negatively gets you. I'm sure nothing good comes from it. Thinking about it even further, you have to realize that you hinder your relationship with God and others. Speak kind words to one another. For the bible says: Summing up: Be agreeable, be sympathetic, be loving, be compassionate, be humble. That goes for all of you, no exceptions. No retaliation. No sharp-tongued sarcasm. Instead, bless—that's your job, to bless. You'll be a blessing and also get a blessing. - 1 Peter 3:8-9 (The Msg)

There's so much power in the tongue, so today
I inspire you to control your speech.

Broken & Out of Order

"My sacrifice [the sacrifice acceptable] to God is a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart [broken down with sorrow for sin and humbly and thoroughly penitent], such, O God, You will not despise." Psalm 51:17

Whether it's a broken heart or the fact that you're "broke", almost everyone can relate to being broken in some aspect of life. Often times when we think of being broken in a negative light; however, when speaking spiritually, being broken is a great thing. When we allow ourselves [flesh] to break, we are in full submission to God. Our sacrifice gives Him an open invitation to come in and heal us in the areas we need most.

When something is broken, we have choices as to what we'll do with it: Leave it broken, try to fix it ourselves, or call someone to fix it. How many of you have had a toilet that was broken? Maybe you tried to fix it yourself, and in result you end up with a flood; leading you to call the plumber. Why not call the plumber in the first place? Maybe it's too expensive, but the plumber knows what to do best. In addition to fixing the initial problem, the plumber also has the power to fix the mess you made in result of trying to fix the problem yourself.

Apply this example to your own life. Let God take control. Sure, it may cost you a few "friends" or bad habits, but those are the things you can afford to give up. When you allow yourself to be broken, you give way to a breakthrough. God will fix you and make you better than before. He will take all that was Out of Order, and put things in order!

Have you been broken? Do you feel yourself breaking? Feel free to comment and share your experience/breakthrough.

It's Your Call

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified." - Romans 8:28-30 NIV

Often times, people struggle with what they have been called to do in life. Sometimes we deny our calling because it's not necessarily what we want to do, but that doesn't excuse what we should do. Some run from the thoughts of becoming a pastor or a teacher because they may feel as though the title is greater than they are. God will never put more on you than what you can bear.

For those who know what they've been called to do in life, consider that a blessing in itself. Some people have to go through so many trials and tribulations until they are faced with their calling. Having a caller ID is a wonderful thing, so don't put this call on wait and miss out on your blessing. Once God has called you to do something you'll be at peace, and that peace will be unlike any peace you've had before.

God doesn't make mistakes when He puts a calling on your life. So today, I Inspire you to answer the call. For those who do, will be glorified.

The Butterfly Effect

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:2 (NIV)

Try this: Think of yourself as a caterpillar. This isn’t the most appealing creature of the world, but focus on the transformation God puts it through.

In
Stage One, the egg is laid on a leaf.

In
Stage Two, the egg hatches and becomes a caterpillar. The caterpillar will eat the leaf it was born onto to help it grow. The more they eat, the more they expand and outgrown their outer skin; which occurs more than once.

The
Third Stage is the pupa, also known as the chrysalis. Now, as most people know, caterpillars are short, stubby and have no wings at all.  Within the chrysalis the old body parts of the caterpillar are undergoing a remarkable transformation, called ‘metamorphosis,’ to become the beautiful parts that make up the butterfly that will emerge.

In
Stage Four, the adult butterfly emerges.  Usually within a three or four-hour period, the butterfly will master flying.

Behind everything we do in life, there’s a thought. In order to change, we must renew our way of thinking. Once you renew something, you don’t stop by just renewing it one time. You must renew it again and again, because there is always something that needs to be improved.
Once our minds are renewed and we change the way we think, then we will learn what God’s will is for us.

The bible tells us not to conform to the patterns of the world. A pattern is an action that is repeated, thus becoming predictable.  Instead of fitting in with the world, stand out for God and place yourself in his pupa. The world is unstable, and will change up on you without warning. God is the only thing that remains constant. He is what He says He is, and what He says He will do for us, will be done.

Our willpower is only but so strong to fend off the things of the world. Our willpower will only produce short-term change. Give into God’s pleasing and perfect will. Allow Him to change the way you think, by placing His word in your mind.  When we become transformed,
God will give us new abilities to compensate our new forms. Don’t conform, be transformed!

Expect A Breakthrough

"…the Lord has broken through my enemies before me, like the bursting out of great waters…" - 2 Samuel 5:20, AMP

God wants to give you a breakthrough—a sudden burst of His favor; an explosion of His goodness. He wants to release His power in such a way that it overwhelms you and drives out your enemies!

Have you been praying about a relationship for years, and suddenly, things fall into place? That’s a breakthrough. Or maybe you've been trying to get a certain job. They said there were no openings; but suddenly, they call you back and you have an interview. That’s another breakthrough. Perhaps you’ve struggled with an addiction for a long time, but then something happens and it’s not a struggle anymore. Those are all breakthroughs.

There will be times where our situations seem greater than any solution can bring us. But what we must believe is that God is greater than ANYTHING we can imagine. He is the possible in the impossible and the right in any wrong. No matter what you’ve been facing, no matter how impossible things look, know this: the Lord of the breakthrough wants to visit your house. Get ready! Look for His favor and goodness. Remember,
God rewards the people who seek after Him. Keep expecting and believing, because the God of the breakthrough is ready to overwhelm you with His goodness!

Do It Afraid

"Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." - Isaiah 41:10

Fear is an emotion. Although there are times where fear seems so much greater than just a feeling, in all actuality, that's all it is. How many times can you recall when you let fear get the best of you, and prevent you from overcoming a challenge or doing something great in life? Personally, I can think of several occasions where I allowed fear to consume me instead of conquering it. After visiting youth night at Crenshaw Christian Center, I heard something that touched me and it was so simple; "Do it afraid".

I hear many people question the reason behind God placing challenges, roadblocks and struggles in our lives, but He's doing it for a reason! No matter how cliché that may sound, it's true. God doesn't want us to ignore our feelings of fear or doubt, but He wants to bring us through those fearful situations to show us that He was there and never left us. If we have faith and are fully committed to walking with God, then what do we really have to be afraid of? We're not perfect, nor are we machines, so these feelings are the things that make us human. When we are afraid, we can call on God, ask for His help, and continue on in faith knowing that He will bring us through yet another situation.

If you want to challenge yourself in the hopes of increasing your faith in God, go out on a limb and do something you've been afraid to do. Just because you say you'll do it doesn't mean that the fear will disappear, maybe it will, and maybe it won't. But for some chance or reason, you still feel fearful, then
do it afraid. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. - 2 Timothy 1:7
