Master's Home for Children

Master's Home for Children (MHC) began in 1999 with 22 children. Today there are over 140 children who call MHC home. Most of these children come from single parent or extremely poor families. Without the aid of Vision Nationals, these children would face child labor.

At MHC, however, these children are provided with love and encouragement as well as nutritious meals and a first-class education. Students also help with the daily life on campus. They clean their rooms, wash their clothes, help prepare meals and keep the campus clean. The older children maintain a garden.

During the school year at MHC, parents who are living are allowed to come to campus once a month and spend the day with their children. Those children who have living family also return home for the summer holidays. Those with no family spend their holiday on campus at MHC.

After the children graduate from Master's School, we encourage them to pursue higher education. These students continue living on campus while Vision Nationals sponsors them to continue their studies at some of the top colleges in the city. Right now, we have students working toward Bachelor degrees in Mechanical, Civil and Computer Engineering and Bio-Technology.

In 2008, Vision Nationals celebrated the first two college graduations of Master's Home children! Both students were hired shortly after graduation! With solid degrees, students have access to first-rate careers that will provide for them and their families for the rest of their lives. In 2009 one of our students graduated college as a certified accountant and came to work with us at Vision Nationals.

In one generation, the cycle of poverty is broken!
