Master's College of Theology
Master’s College of Theology began in 1996 to train national leaders to go out among their nations as church planters, pastors, educators, and leaders. Soon we expanded our one-year program in Telugu (our regional language) to a four-year Bachelor of Theology degree program in English.
In 2003, we applied for affiliation with Serampore University, a minimum two-year process. By a miracle of God we were granted affiliation that same year! We were also granted provisional accreditation for the next three years. In 2006, the Serampore University commission came to inspect our facilities and staff and granted us full accreditation starting in 2007. In March 2008, we commemorated the first graduating class to hold accredited Bachelor of Theology degrees from Master’s College of Theology!
This June Master's College of Theology was approved at a Seminary level with the highest accreditation! We now offer a five-year Master of Divinity program for more than 60 students who come from India, Burma, Nepal and Thailand to study with us. Many of these students return to their home countries as church planters and pastors, or continue their studies to become professors.
The eleven professors who teach at the college also come from all over India, and each holds a Masters or Doctorate degree in Theology. In the future, we hope to develop an international faculty that would include visiting professors.
