Founder Biography

Arjuna Chiguluri was born into an upper caste Hindu family. As a teenager he became interested in Christianity and at the age of 17, through searching the Scriptures, he decided to become a Christian. From that time on he was passionate about taking the gospel to those who do not know the True and Living God. Especially to those who, like him, were born into the Hindu culture and religion.
This passion led him to attend a Bible College in India, and later complete his Masters studies at Talbot Seminary in the US. After graduating from Talbot with his M.Th. in 1987, Arjuna returned to India, secured a position as a professor, and intended to postpone his vision of mission work and training nationals until his two children had graduated from high school. However, in 1990 the Lord opened the doors for Arjuna to be involved in church planting, and through the encouragement of two close friends, Arjuna realized it was God's will for him and his family to pursue ministry at that time.
The confirmation of this call gave birth to "Vision Nationals". To begin this ministry, Arjuna relocated his family to Visakhapatnam (Vizag), India, in 1992. That same year Vision Nationals was incorporated in the US. Since then, hundreds of churches have been established, hundreds of nationals trained, thousands saved, and both Arjuna's children have graduated from high school.
Arjuna and his wife, Raji, are very thankful for the ministry God has entrusted to them and the impact it is making in the lives of people.
