The Community Dinner:
"On the second Thursday of every third month, Triad Community Church will be taking part in Ward St. Missions Kid's Cafe and Community Dinner.
In the geographical neighborhood of Southern Triad Missions, Inc., many children live in very poor conditions. One of the problems of poverty is nutritious meals. At the Ward Street Mission church the KID's CAFE' is available to help. Nutritionally balanced meals are available to children up to 18 years of age. The neighborhood children, taking part in the Boys & Girls Club, come down at 5 pm, where food and drink is waiting on them.
Beginning at 5:30 and ending at 7:00, a nutritional meal is provided to neighborhood children and adults at NO CHARGE. Approximately 165 men, women and children are served weekly."
What Can We Do?
"We have been given the privilege to be servants to those in need right here in our home town. All we need are dedicated people to cook a nutritional meal, comprised of a main course, simple sides and a dessert, and others prepared to assist in the serving of that meal. The drinks we will be providing is something as simple as tea, lemonade or generic sodas..
Those preparing the meals and the servers alike should be at Ward St. Missions church no later than 4:30 to prepare for the evening's crowd. We are also in charge of all the dinnerware (plates, cups, napkins, utensils)."
Frequency: Meetings as needed. Meals served quarterly.
Location: Meetings at TCC. Meals served at Ward Street Mission Church, 1619 W. Ward Ave, High Point
