In 2004 God placed on the heart of Dr. Rodney Pearson the burden to develop a fresh and accurate expression of God’s unconditional love to be taught and operating at the local church level. Out of that burden, Faith on Fire Church was born.

FOF is a church that builds people up and equips them for God’s service at its core. It is a church that does more than preach an occasional sermon on love. This church tries to teach love deeper and more intently than any other. It is a church to challenge the status-quo Christian. A church designed as a “love school” where everyone including the leaders are encouraged to seek the infilling of God’s Holy Spirit with the understanding that His word emphasizes that God is love (Agape) and that the only way to have God, His Son and His Spirit in you is to have His Agape flowing through you!

GOT LOVE?...TRY AGAPE!

"Agape" is a Greek word, which means "Unconditional Love." At Faith on Fire we teach that Agape is the basic foundation for every biblical principle. We use the word Agape to make a clear distinction between God's standard of love and the world's counterfeit superficial standard. We are learning to replace "love" with "Agape" in our every day life at Faith on Fire!

We believe that God's love should be extended to every one regardless of age, race, creed, color, status in life or sexual orientation.

What is Faith on Fire Church all About?

We are a nondenominational, multi-racial, Bible-believing congregation reaching out to our community with the love of God (Agape) as we understand it.

We read in 1 John 4:7-8: 7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

The vision was for a church that avoids empty religious traditions or a remake of church patterns and cultures; but a church that dares to be different in style and structure, yet holding up a strong standard of biblical principles and values. God blessed Dr. Pearson and his wife Trenna to begin to develop the foundation with the name, Faith on Fire (FOF), and shortly after a new doctrine was conceived, the Agape Doctrine. What became apparent from the very beginning was that this would not be an ordinary church nor was it going to be a church that placed its value on the number of people who attended weekly.

Our church government is based on the Apostolic model found in Ephesians 4:11-12: 11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.
