Arizona is the fastest growing state in the United States with some of the fastest growing churches. The 220 churches that comprise our District cross multi-ethnic lines. Arizona has 47 Native American churches, 14 Hispanic churches, 2 Messianic congregations, 2 Marshallese churches, and one each of Persian, Samoan, Arabic, Haitian, Indian, and Indonesian.
There are over 53,000 members and adherents of Assembly of God churches in Arizona and over 700 credentialed ministers. The Arizona District of the Assemblies of God owns and operates Western Bible College, a four year college with the primary purpose of training men and women for ministry.
The Arizona District of the Assemblies of God was organized in 1939, and is one of 58 districts that comprise the General Council of the Assemblies of God (USA), a Pentecostal denomination with over 57 million adherents world-wide and nearly three million in the United States.
The mission of the Arizona District Council is to advance the Kingdom of God by providing structure and resources to the district's ministries.
