An ordained minister of the Assemblies of God, Rev. Ernest Zilch began his ministry as an assistant pastor of Stone Church in Toronto, Canada. Along with his wife, Margot, they planted Islington Evangel Center, a Toronto suburb church. Rev. Zilch has pastored churches in Jacksonville, Florida, and Lake Worth, West Palm Beach, Florida. After transferring to Michigan, he pastored churches in Benton Harbor and Battle Creek. The Assemblies of God commissioned him as a hospital chaplain.
Pastor Zilch was elected to the following positions:
Presbyter: Peninsular Florida District and the Michigan District,
Executive Presbyter: Michigan District,
District Official: Executive Secretary/Treasurer of Michigan District, and
General Presbyter of the General Council of the Assemblies of God.
He was a guest lecturer at Central Bible College, Springfield Missouri, and during his ministry in Michigan he was an instructor at Central Bible College Detroit Campus.
Pastor Zilch has made studies at the University of Pittsburgh, Eastern Pentecostal Bible College, Andrews University, and Western Michigan University.
He and his wife, Margot, are the parents of two grown sons, Jason and Torrey.
