small groups

Building a relationally based church committed to growth and effective ministries through friendships, evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development in Small Groups is one of our Core Values.

The Four Basic Purposes of Small Groups at New Horizons:

1.    RELATING -  acceptance, belonging, shared life and friendship.

2.    CARING - a supportive environment, counseling, and inner strength.

3.    BUILDING - discover spiritual gifts, development of lay leadership.

4.    REACHING - supernatural evangelism, contagious faith, and growth.

The goal of our Small Group Ministry is based on a New Testament church model and on our desire to see people's needs met and relationships developed in a caring atmosphere, establishing healthy members and healthy Small Groups.

There's opportunity to become involved in one of our Small Groups and to start a new group. There is a one-day training seminar, required, and ongoing support from other Small Groups leaders and Pastor Craig Durbin who oversees the Small Group Ministry.
