The College and Young Adult ministry at Garden Lakes Baptist Church provides a welcoming, nurturing environment in which young adults can study the Bible, enjoy fellowship with other students, and  fully participate in the life of the church.  Opportunities  include:

 

-- Bible study at 9:45 a.m. on Sundays, in the conference room near the sanctuary.  Sunday mornings are casual and include breakfast as part of  the Sunday School hour.  Come as you are - all are welcome!  Students needing transportation from area colleges may call the church office (706-234-6615) or the after-hours number (706-802-7339) for assistance.

 

-- Participation in worship, Sundays at 8:45 in the chapel (contemporary) or 11:00 in the sanctuary (traditional). 

 

-- Fellowship and service opportunities in the community: recent events include enjoying occasional suppers out, attending a Christian concert together, and participating in "Now Serving Atlanta," a weekend retreat and service opportunity offered through the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Georgia and McAfee School of Theology of Mercer University.

 

-- College luncheons after worship twice each semester.

 

-- "Adopt a Student" program for students desiring ongoing contact and friendship with a Garden Lakes Baptist Church family.
