Upward seeks to develop the self-esteem of each participant, while teaching respect for authority, sportsmanship, character, and fundamental sports skills. One of the purposes of Upward is to share the love of Jesus with each player, coach, official, and family.

Upward is a sports ministry specifically designed for boys and girls that enhances the self-esteem of each participant while teaching respect for authority, sportsmanship, character and athletic skills. Each child is given equal playing time and emphasis is placed on sportsmanship. Additionally, at each practice, the coach leads his or her team in a short devotional time which includes Scripture memory. In this league, every child is a winner!

Upward is one of the most exciting sports programs in the country. Designed to promote community participation and to develop volunteer leaders, Upward uses something as simple as sports to strengthen life values. Garden Lakes Baptist Church offers Upward soccer in the early spring.

for children 4 years old - 6th grade

Registration has opened for Upward Soccer for 2013. Through Feb. 16, cost is $65 for the first child in the family, with a discount of $10 for each additional child in the family. After Feb. 16, the cost is $75 per child. Final deadline for registration is Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Payment must be made in full at the church office by 5 p.m. Wednesday, February 27 for your child to play soccer.

EVALUATIONS AND SIGN-UPS

Participants must attend one soccer evaluation:

Thursday, Feb. 14, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 16, 10:00 a.m. - 12 noon

Evaluations will take place in the Garden Lakes Baptist Church Gym.
