The Garden Lakes Baptist Church Library is located on the Adult Sunday School Hall next to the Newton Whatley Sunday School Class. It is open on Sunday mornings from 9:00 am until noon. During the week, our church Administrative Assistant would be happy to open the library for you.

Our library has over 5000 books. We have many non-fiction books on religion and Christian life, as well as fiction and biography. We have many books that would be helpful to Bible teachers and students alike. We also have a section for youth and a section for children.

All books are cataloged according to the Dewey Decimal System, and have been entered into a computer. Books may be searched for by accession number, title, author or subject. The computer also shows how to fine a book by showing the letter of the book case and shelve number where that book may be located. Instructions for checking out a book are written on a sheet next to the computer, or there is a sheet where you may enter information and the librarian will do this for you at a later time.

If you would like to donate a book in honor or in memory of someone, contact Judy Ellison (706-232-7166) or church office. You can purchase a book or contact Judy Ellison for some suggestions. It is a good idea to check and make certain we do not already have a copy of a book. A special bookplate will be placed in the book, and the family will be notified.
