Duane & Jessie Erickson
Duane and Jessie Erickson are members of the North Central Conference of the Evangelical Church. In 1974, after serving pastorates in Brooklyn Park and Sleepy Eye, Minnesota the Erickson's answered the call to be missionaries to Bolivia, South America. They served 17 years in La Paz, Bolivia. In 1992, the Denominational Board of Missions of the Evangelical Church elected Duane as Executive Director of Missions.
Duane brings to this office expertise gained through his previous experiences working in Bolivia. As Executive Director of Missions, Duane spends time participating in missions conventions, communicating the mission work of The Evangelical Church and traveling to the mission fields to encourage, evaluate, research and minister. Jessie travels with Duane as often as possible.
Dr. Bruce Moyer was elected to replace Duane as Executive Director at the 2010 General Conference of The Evangelical Church. The transition between Duane and Bruce will begin September 2010.
The Erickson's have three children and seven grandchildren.
