Bruce & Ruth Moyer
Dr. Bruce Moyer was elected to serve as Executive Director of Evangelical Church Missions at the July 2010 General Conference of The Evangelical Church. He replaces Rev. Duane Erickson who has served in this position since 1992.
Dr. Moyer has been involved in Christian ministry for 35 years and brings a wide range of experience to Evangelical Church Missions. He has served as a pastor, conference superintendent, Bible school professor and president of Vennard College. A support staff joins him at the Minneapolis, Minnesota, office in serving the mission needs of The Evangelical Church.
Bruce and Ruth gained five years of mission field experience while serving on the ECM field in La Paz, Bolivia, from 1980 to 1985.They have continued their association with ECM thru field visits: including work teams, teaching assignments and leadership training.
As Executive Director of Missions, Bruce will supervise ECM foreign and stateside activities as he communicates the mission vision to The Evangelical Church. He will travel to the fields to encourage, evaluate and minister to the missionaries. His wife, Ruth, will have extensive hospitality responsibilities and hopes to travel with Bruce as often as possible.
