3rd - 5th Grade
3rd-5th graders are in a transitional stage of faith development in which they have capacity for greater understanding as well as increased interest in seeking answers to thoughtful faith questions. It is vital that they are surrounded by discerning adults who are willing to invest relational time and model a vibrant faith worthy of emulation.
We seek to create a Sunday environment that supports this developmental stage and invites Holy Spirit transformation. We utilize TRUStory which reveals the big story of God's redemptive plan and invites students to consider how they are being invited into God's story. In large group and small group experiences, students are invited to anticipate, celebrate, respond and be blessed as they consider what the Holy Spirit is revealing about God's character and nature in each story.
Students are assigned to a specific small group led by trained and screened volunteer leaders. The consistency provided in these groups encourages friendships as well as family connection and stronger discipleship. We encourage your regular attendance at your chosen service to allow your child to develop stronger relational connections.
Parents are invited to intentionally disciple their student by using Homefront Weekly as a family. Additionally, at this age, we begin to encourage students who are interested and ready for the challenge, to try out journaling, seeking to meet with God individually. Journals are available for purchase on Sunday mornings. See Pastor Todd for more information.
Summer camps for this age include day camp for those entering 3rd grade in the fall and overnight camp for those entering 4th, 5th and 6th grade in the fall. Look for more information on the website beginning in March.
Pastor Todd Crist is excited to connect with you as you encounter questions, victories and concerns in navigating this exciting season of faith formation.
