C. MeGill Brown, Ph. D.

C. MeGill Brown, Ph. D. is a native of the port City of Savannah where he received his early formal education.  This accomplished bassoonist and pianist spent his early days pursuing his musical ambitions and even served as band director for the Hilton Head High School, in South Carolina. 
Brown is a licensed and ordained Baptist Minister and has been serving since 1998 as the Senior Pastor of the Historic Second African Baptist Church. Dr. Brown is also the Chaplains Coordinator for the Savannah
Chatham Metropolitan Police Department and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Curtis V. Cooper Primary Health Care Center. 
C. MeGill holds the following advanced degrees: Bachelor of Arts in Music Education, Masters of Education, Masters of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy. Dr. Brown served as President of the Congress of Christian Education of The New Era Baptist State Convention and is currently serving on the Ethics Committee for the City of Savannah.
Pastor Brown holds membership to serval professional and civic organizations which includes, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc, Phi Mu Alpha Professional Music Fraternity, NAACP and Georgia Associations of Law Enforcement Chaplains just to name a few. He is married to the lovely Adrienne Melissa Brown, and they are the proud parents of one son, Corey MeGill Brown, II.
