The mission of the Macedonia AIDS Ministry is to provide care and support to people living with AIDS and their families. The ultimate goal is to inspire spiritual growth, which will lead to a personal relationship with Christ.
This dynamic ministry is one of Macedonia's largest. This ministry has received local, statewide, and national recognition. In 1996, the AIDS Ministry received the WCBS "Fulfilling the Dream Award". At the State Level, they received the Connecticut Department of Public and Addiction Services "1993 - Commissioners AIDS Leadership Award". This Ministry has also received many other city and awards since its conception. This ministry receives partial federal funding for case management services through the Ryan White Foundation.
Some of the programs provided by this ministry include: HIV Counseling, HIV education, Social Service Coordination, Patient Care and training, Buddy Program, Case Management, Group Sessions, Family Support, Emergency Financial Assistance and Transportation Services.
