About Us

I'm New

Sundays at NMC

Who are we?
North Metro Church consists of a wide range of different people, from all ages and backgrounds. Whoever you are, you are assured a very warm welcome at North Metro Church. Learn more about who we are and what we believe.
What to wear:
This is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an informal church and there is no need to dress up to try and be someone that you're not. Whether you come in a business suit or in shorts and flip-flops that is fine with us.
What to expect:
For some people going anywhere for the first time can be a little scary. To help avoid any worries, here's a quick summary of what you can expect at North Metro Church. On arrival, feel free to park in the East lot close to the main church entrance or children's area. We have parking for guests as well as handicapped spaces. Come in, sit down in the auditorium or drop by the cafe for a cup of Land of a Thousand Hills coffee and donuts or fruit (on us) and/or pick up some literature about our church family at the Welcome Center. There will be people around to answer any questions you may have or point you in a certain direction. The restrooms can be hard to find!
We have exciting, interactive worship and Bible study for our children (babies through 4th Grade) each Sunday.  If you wish to leave them with our great Children's team, the check in is at the east entrance of the building. A Children's greeter will help you with the check-in process. The children meet for age-graded Bible study at 9am and we offer a Children's Church at 10:45am (1st-4th grade).
Our Middle and High School Students meet each week with opportunities for worship, Bible study and small group discussions. We also have a specific class for middle school students on Sunday mornings.
The gatherings, at either 9:00 or 10:45am, begin with congregational music led by our worship team, and include creative art, video, prayer moments, and short greeting times for people to say hello to one another. The message is based on the Bible and designed to help us understand God, who we are and the world we live in. The gatherings also have announcements "sprinkled in" to help people stay in touch with the activities and opportunities to get involved. The whole thing usually lasts about an hour and 10 minutes.  It has been described as up-beat, active, and relevant without compromising the Bible and it's truths.
At the 10:45am Gathering, we have both deaf and Spanish translations available.
Is it just Sundays?
Absolutely not! God is with us all week long and we aim to lead lives pleasing to Him. We're not perfect and we do make mistakes, but we desire to make a positive difference in everything we do. To further encourage us we have midweek life groups (a life group is simply a meeting of maybe 10 people in someone's house). Life groups are a great way to get to know others in the church and to be real with each other about everyday living.
We also offer adult studies that are available at 8:00, 9:15 or 10:45a.m.on Sundays. These Ascent classes are a mixture of Bible Book studies and topical/relationship studies to help you grow deeper with God.
There are men's and women's activities and Bible studies, opportunities to serve our community using your abilities, and get involved on a basketball, soccer or softball team. We also want to impact our world by going on mission.
So drop by the Welcome Center on Sunday mornings (right outside the auditorium) if you would like more information on any of our ministries, want to sign up for an event, pick up a CD or desire to chat with someone about the church.
