The word Benediction comes from a combination of two Latin words: bene, well + dicere, to speak. It is usually a short invocation for divine help, blessing and guidance, usually at the end of a worship service.

Since I started here at Lakeside, I would send us out with a Benediction so we can take something with us as an encouragement and blessing throughout the week. As I wrap up my time at Lakeside, I want to leave you with some encouraging words and blessings from the passages of Scripture I've shared with you as Benedictions each Sunday. I hope you can take these Benedictions with you throughout life and allow them to encourage, bless and guide you individually and as a church.  - Pastor Chris
