1.Our church is open to all people, regardless of religious affiliation. You do not need to be a member of this church in order to have your wedding here.
2.Our church is open to all people, regardless of sexual orientation; we provide the same wedding services for same-sex couples as we do for heterosexual couples.
3. Wedding services are part of our pastoral ministry to the wider community, and need to be in keeping with our theology and tradition. Therefore, wedding services must be performed by one of the ministers on our church staff. Exceptions to this policy may be authorized on rare occasions.
Fees are negotiable depending on how many hours and rooms are involved, number of guests, etc, but the basic breakdown is as follows:
Sanctuary and Personnel (includes Minister (two or three meetings beforehand, rehearsal and the ceremony) Music Director, Church Representative and Custodian: $1,700
Since church members already support the church financially, the only fee is for the Music Director and Custodian.
Anderson Hall on the lower level is available for wedding receptions ($500 fee includes a church representative and custodial services). An additional fee is charged for use of kitchen facilities ($100 casual use/ $200 full use).
HOW TO ARRANGE FOR YOUR WEDDING
1. Contact the Minister to see if she is available on the date you have selected and that the sanctuary is available for use on your date. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or on her cell phone at 206-715-1362. When the arrangement has been confirmed, you will be sent a Wedding Reservation Form to complete and return to the church office. You should also contact the church Music Director promptly to secure her services.
After initial arrangements have been made, the minister will want to meet with you several times before the wedding. It is your responsibility, at least two months in advance of the wedding date, to contact the minister and arrange times for these meetings. They provide time for her to get to know you, plan your wedding service together, and discuss what this marriage means to you. Most couples find these sessions a helpful break from the stressful details of planning a wedding and reception, giving them time to focus on their relationship.
2. Music: The church sanctuary contains a baby grand piano and pipe organ. Our Interim Music Director, Marshan Goodwin-Moultry, is an accomplished professional musician whose skill will enhance the beauty of your wedding ceremony.
