Larry Liggitt -
Family Therapy & Addictions
Counselor
Larry Liggitt is serving as an Addictions Counselor at Bethany. He has BA's in Religion, Political Science & Business Economics from Indiana Wesleyan University, an MBA in Financial Investments from Miami University, an MA in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Missouri and a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Theology from Central Baptist Theological Seminary. Larry has a CACD in Professional Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of PA. He spent 24 years serving in various areas of the U.S. Marine Corps. Larry directed the addictions program at the Allentown Rescue Mission where the recovery rate was very high. He currently works for the Carbon//Monroe/Pike Drug & Alcohol Commission. His training includes counseling for substance and sexual addictions.
Mr. Liggitt is available for counseling on Wednesday afternoons and evenings. There will be a fee for his services. You may schedule an appointment by calling (570) 778-7092. All appointments are strictly confidential.
Jim Fouts - Family, Marriage, Depression &
Anxiety Counselor
Jim Fouts comes to Bethany with over twenty years of service in the counseling, social work, and crisis intervention fields. He has done extensive counseling in "affair-proofing" marriages, premarital counseling and helping struggling marriages. Jim earned his BA in social work at Moravian College, his MA from Marywood College and has done Post-Master's work from Temple University. He has also had extensive training in several mental health fields. Jim maintains a personal warmth and genuine caring spirit and an ability to bring practical and spiritual input into his counseling. Jim and his wife Laura have been married for 32 years and have two adult children and two grandchildren.

Christine Sherwood - Children, Young Adult, Couples, & Crisis Counseling
Christine is an energetic and very capable counselor who has packed a lot of living into her life. Originally from upstate New York, she now lives in PA with her husband, Jamie, and sons, Connor and Jack.
Christine's calling into counseling and family ministries began at Palm Beach Atlantic University in Florida with a BS in Psychology. She continued her education at Lehigh University for a Masters in Counseling Psychology. She has served with distinction for several years as director of Lifespan Daycare in Allentown and is presently with Keystone Counseling in Coopersburg. Christine has also done a counseling internship with Kutztown University and is often called upon by her senior pastor for counseling services in her local church. She has experience with individual and group counseling and training with college-aged students, and has a real passion for helping young marrieds with communication techniques. Christine also excels in children's counseling, crisis counseling and depression issues. She will be available by pastoral referral. Please call the church office to schedule an appointment.
Judi Hill - Grief, Divorce Recovery, Marriage & Family Counseling
Judi has over 35 years of diversified experience including working as a counselor at Northwestern School District, an elementary teacher, college professor at Lehigh University, served on the Advisory Council for Educators at Kutztown University, taught parenting courses for Northwestern Lehigh School District and served as a consultant for Family Life Services at the Lutheran Home in Topton, PA. She has received high recommendations from prior colleagues she has worked with including a nationally certified psychologist. Judi is excited about partnering with our current counseling team and believes she is at the time in her life when her gifts can be used in a distinctively Christian setting and atmosphere to yield the most fruit. Judi and her husband, John have been married for 21 years.
Appointments are by pastoral referral and may be scheduled through the church office.
