Senior Adult Ministries
Our Mission is to present Jesus Christ to seniors in a relevant way and to serve each other with the love of Christ.
The goal of the JOY ministry is to meet the needs of seniors who are in Nursing and Assisted Living Homes, homebound and hospitalized by visiting, loving and supporting them. One time Pastor Kevin Fetterhoff made the statement about our seniors, "There is gold in the pews". We have found that statement to be true since most of our seniors are volunteering and using their gifts for the Lord.
There are Ministry opportunities in the following areas:
Transportation - Provide transportation to church services, grocery stores, or medical appointments for those individuals who are unable to drive themselves.
Visitation - Visit seniors at home, in the hospital or nursing home to extend the hand of friendship and concern.
Personal Touch - Call senior members to pray with them and ask how they are doing. Encourage senior members to join in with church activities or assist in making these activities a success.
Helping Hands - Prepare meals, make gifts for nursing homes, light gardening for seniors, snow shoveling, etc.
If you have an interest in helping in any of these areas, please contact the church office and ask to speak to Freida Williams, Senior Adult Director (610 767-1239).
Hymn sings are conducted mnthly at eight Personal Care Homes.
