The Livesay’s are a family of 9 from our local church that are serving in Haiti. The organization they are working for is World Wide Village. They stay in close contact with friends and family through their blog. They say, "Sometimes working & living in Haiti is exciting and fun, other times it is draining & difficult. Either way, we desire to make Christ known and to learn to know Him better." Their primary mission is to feed up to 300 children from the area where they live. They also assist in a school and mission teams that go to Haiti for project work. This work includes;
  • Construction of warehouse and distribution centers for food, clothing, school supplies and medical goods.Roofing local houses.
  • Assisting in medical, dental and vision clinics.
  • Participating in pastoral conferences and evangelistic crusades.
  • Leading children's summer Bible camps.
  • Leading women's seminars on family life.

World Wide Village is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2001 by a group of people who share a mutual desire to meet the basic needs of the less fortunate. This is accomplished by focusing on the children and families in poverty-stricken nations. Our current focus is in Haiti, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.

World Wide Village intends to be the catalyst for the creation of vibrant communities through the establishment and support of churches, schools, medical facilities and infrastructures, all of which are created alongside sustainable micro-enterprises.

We envision a day when every child is immunized, enjoys healthy and nutritional daily meals, and has access to quality Christian education. The family unit has been reestablished, sufficient health care facilities exist, the local communities have clean, safe water, adults are gainfully working toward economic sustainability, and the country enjoys national peace. And, everyone knows someone who knows Jesus!
