Wedding Cake Information
Pricing: Due to the degree of customizing involved with each customer's order, pricing will vary based on flavor, size, and design. Quotes are provided in the consultation only. On average, price per slice is approximately $3.75.
Consultations: Appointments are scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for pricing and taste testing. Consultations are scheduled for one hour only. We are unable to extend time for late arrivals, and we are unable to accommodate children in the consultation room.
There is no cost to you, but we do ask that if you must cancel or reschedule your appointment time, please inform us at least 72 hours in advance, so your time slot can be opened for other clients. Again, we must stress that children are not allowed in the consultation room.
Consultation Cake Samples: We offer three flavors during consultations; White Cake with White Buttercream Icing, Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Filling and Chocolate Ganache Icing, and Italian Cream Cake with Cream Cheese Icing. Any other flavor requests must be ordered and paid for in advance, and are available in Torte Cake Bowls for $3.25 each.
Designs: Often we are asked to replicate designs in pictures submitted by customers. As with any handmade/customized product, variations in each cake design will occur. Every bride's cake produced is a unique product of Mickey's Special Affairs.
Deliveries: Local delivery charge is $58.00. Long distance delivery charges are $1.75 per mile round trip. Our deliveries are scheduled two (2) hours prior to the ceremony/event time. This window allows ample time for transitioning, set-up & departure, and florist design. In the event you are planning an outdoor event, you must inform us at the time you place your order; as this may require different handling of delivery/set-up time, and you must provide some protective covering.
Pickup: We are not responsible for wedding/tiered cakes picked up and/or set-up by customers. In the event your cake is damaged in transit or due to set-up, you will incur additional repair or replacement charges.
Other Services: We do have a person who is available for Cake/Punch serving. Information will be provided upon request.
Deposit: A $100 deposit is required to secure your reservation for services for each event date and will go towards the balance of your order. Once remitted, the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to other cakes or services should you cancel your order.
Final Changes & Payments: Changes to an existing order; size, design, flavor, or filling will be accepted no later than two weeks (2) prior to the event. After that time, we will not accept any changes. The balance for all services must be remitted two (2) weeks prior to the event date.
Cancellations: Orders cancelled more than 14 days to your event are eligible for a refund, less your $100 deposit. Refunds are subject to other cancellation fees based on, but not limited to the form of payment and special order items.
ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN WITHIN 14 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR EVENT DATE.
