Bradford Update 10.3
March 2010
Greetings!

Greetings from France!  We're in a very critical week for the plans around The Bridge, the international church and ministry center we have been at work to open.  This Sunday will mark our first worship service where the public is invited!  We'd like to ask for your prayers.  We feel good about making this move, as we have met with a Core Group since September 2009 and saw 59 people at the meeting this last Sunday.  9 nationalities are now part of the Core Group!

Team Prep, Arrivals
Bridge Team at RetreatThe Bridge Team has been assembling in Paris since May 2008 when the first members arrived from The Netherlands and paved the way.  Just in the last month, the Wolf family of Wisconsin and Kelly Delp have arrived to work in children's ministry and worship and graphic arts, respectively.

Our team now numbers 15 adults and 13 children.  The picture above is from a retreat we had at the end of February, asking God to help us move ahead.  We were graced by the presence of Pastor John and Sandie Kuert who came to minister to us all the way from Evangel Heights Assembly of God in Sarver, Pennsylvania.  Our children were treated to an amazing time with a team of five from Maranatha Worship Center in Wichita, Kansas.  Many thanks to the Kuerts, the Wessels and the Griffins!

This last week a team of 11 from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri has come to help us with our preparations for the opening.  They have made contact through flyer distribution with about 2500 people at train stations and at the huge international business park, La Defense.  We would not be where in as good a position for our opening as we are without them.

This Sunday we will set up our equipment in the Hotel Novotel in Rueil-Malmaison for our first public service and are praying for a strong start!  If you'd like to know more about how to get there, please see our website.

We appreciate your prayers in the midst of all we're doing to prepare for a fantastic launch to a church that has so many dynamic possibilities.  Soon, I hope to be telling you about an amazing more permanent facility we'll be coming up with.  It's a 15,000 square foot facility (1450 sq. meters).  This building is in the suburb of St.-Germain-en-Laye and represents much of what we would need in a building.  Please pray with us about this need, and I will be letting you know more soon!
