Sonbeams Nursery is a place where you can feel comfortable leaving your baby or toddler while you attend one of our Sunday or Wednesday meeting times. Our nursery is safe and staffed by adults who are loving, nurturing and caring. We understand that nothing is more valuable to you than your little ones.  We place a very high value on every child.  That's why we don't just babysit. When your child comes to Sonbeams we will show your baby or toddler God’s love as we play, listen to music and stories, and interact with them. We do this so you can feel at ease while you participate in one of our services or small group studies.

 

When you arrive at church you will be shown where the Sonbeams Nursery is.  It is just down the hall from the sanctuary.  One of our friendly volunteers will greet you and your child. If you do choose to have your child spend the morning with us, he or she will be placed in one of our two nursery rooms. Our first room is just for infants until they are walking confidently.  Our second room is for those toddlers who are walking confidently through 42 months. After they turn 3-1/2, they graduate to Critter Land, our preschool children's church. 

 

To ensure the safety of your child we have a detailed check-in system. First, you will be asked to complete a profile card which gives information about you and your child.  This will help us meet your child's needs just the way you want us to.  Next, a nametag will be placed on the child’s back with their name, your name, and a number. This number corresponds with an electronic pager that is given to the parent or guardian. In the event that we need you to come to the nursery during the service, you will be paged silently and discreetly.  The pager is also used at pickup time. A child is ONLY released to the parent/guardian who dropped off the child, when they present the corresponding pager.
