Calvary is Moving Forward Expectantly in 2010!

 

Let us take this opportunity to encourage you in the year before us.  The Lord’s work is the greatest work in the world!  This has always been true, but it seems so much more apparent today.  God’s people all over the world should have an attitude of expectancy in regard to a lot of things.  For one, we should expect God to be working in each of our lives.  God’s purpose for His people is in conforming us into the image of His very Son.  That process is ongoing and never abates for any purpose.  Its kind of like death and taxes, but to a far greater end!

One day, perhaps even this year, God is going to remove His people from the earth and plunge the planet into a seven-year period known as the tribulation period.  This expectation of meeting the Lord in the air ought to encourage us to keep sin out of our lives, and to keep us personally living out the known will of God.  It is never easy.  Remember, God did not call us to an easy life.  He has called us to discipline our lives unto godliness for His glory!  One day soon, we will rejoice with an unspeakable joy, if in fact, we have invested our time, our skills, and our money in things that are going to last and last and last.  May God allow us to accomplish great things for Him and expect great things from Him in 2010!
