Destiny Christian Kindergarten recognizes that parents have a choice when making a decision on where to send their child to school. Our Kindergarten curriculum aligns Californis State Common Core Standards with the Core Knowledge Kindergarten Sequence and is taught by a California Credentialed Teacher. Our student teacher ratio of 1:10 is much lower than local public and private schools in our area. Children receive personal instruction in reading and writing, as well as math, geography, science, art and music.
We know that Kindergartners learn best by experiencing and doing so hands-on activities play a central role in the classroom. Our Purposeful Design Bible curriculum adds a spiritual componet to the classroom that fosters cooperation, compassion, and character. Children learn about God's word and His world, His personal love for them, and how to share His love with others. Our goal is to foster not only a love for God, but also a love for books and reading. This sets a firm foundation for study skills that will follow students as they grow.
Our Kindergarten teachers use the Core Knowledge Kindergarten Sequence as the basis of their lesson plans. Curriculum includes: ACSI's Purposeful Design Kindergarten Math Curriculum, Bible and I Can Read. Those are supplemented with Envision Math, Houghton Mifflin Reading, Alpha Friends phonics, Handwriting without Tears, and Core Knowledge Science and Geography.
A low teacher to student ratio ensures that your child will receive personal attention and a more individualized learning plan.
Our waiting list for the 2013-14 school year is currently closed. Check back in January 2014 for information regarding registration information for the 2014-15 school year.
