Profile of Pastor Willis
Pastor Willis began serving as Pastor of the Pentecostal Missionary Baptist Church in 1991. Under his leadership the Lord has allowed the church to build a new sanctuary and purchase property in the community. By his teaching and preaching, Pastor Willis has shown he has a heart for people. Pastor Willis was chosen by God to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastor Willis is a great community leader. He is the President of the Romulus Ministerial Association, President of the Concerned Baptist Pastors and Ministers of Detroit and Vicinity, board member of the Romulus Boys and Girls Club, Chair of the Romulus Mayor’s Drug Task Force, and a member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board. In 2009, Pastor Willis received the Man of the Year Award by the Romulus Chamber of Commerce.
Pastor Willis graduated from Murray Wright High School in 1971. He attended Wayne State University and later graduated from Michigan State University. Pastor Willis graduated from Birmingham Bible Institution and from Liberty Bible College with a degree in Biblical Counseling.
Pastor Willis has been married to First Lady Janice Willis since 1971. They have five beautiful children Stephanie, Arthur Jr., Chauncey, Rev. LaThomas Willis, and Starr.
