Description of Work Our family will be working with Global Theological Seminary in, who works to provide practical and theological training for national pastors from, as well as from Kenya, Sudan, Congo, and Rwanda. This college for national pastors does a job providing solid theological training, but currently has no program preparing these leaders to deal with the younger generation. Our role will be to establish youth and children's ministry courses into the required curriculum for the students at Global Theological seminary and then to partner with these new national pastors following their graduation to assist them in developing effective ministries to the masses of youth across Uganda. Our Passion is to see national pastors equipped to plant and lead thriving and reproducing churches that will evangelize and disciple the people of East Africa. http://www.soldotnabiblechapel.com/stephen-and-esther-napier/
HopeAlive268 has been supporting 32 orphans, ranging from the ages of birth to five years of age, since we came back from Swaziland in October. We send money monthly to cover the cost of food which gives them one meal and a Bible story each day. That number has jumped to 38 in the past month and looks to be rising in the coming months as word spreads that Siteki is a stable care point thanks to the generosity of people like YOU.
Threads of hope
Al Barrett and his wife were on the first leg of a mission trip to Tanzania and Kenya in 1998. Seated next to Al was a Jewish man who happened to be a Lawyer from Detroit. Before he left the plane in Detroit he reached into his wallet, gave Al some money, and said, "Put this where it will sow in the Kingdom of God". With the money, Al bought the first sewing machine for a tribe near Mount Kilimanjaro called the Chagga people. The Jewish man told Al he was being led by the Holy Spirit to give a donation.
That seed money has now grown to a mountain of donated thread, materials, and sewing machines. Approximately $80,000 worth of thread alone and hundreds and hundreds of sewing machines, both electric and foot petal, have been donated. Now the promise of free fabric has come. We have been praying and believing that God would reveal where and who will receive it. Now it is unfolding.
