At First Presbyterian, we offer G.R.A.C.E. Place on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. This is a workshop-based Sunday school. Children study the same Bible story or concept for 4 – 6 weeks, attending a different workshop each week. Workshop leaders may utilize drama, video, games, music, science, storytelling, or cooking to teach the Bible lesson… the sky’s the limit! Adult “shepherds” accompany the children each week. We love the interactive learning that G.R.A.C.E Place fosters and we know that your kids will love it too! To learn more about rotation workshop Sunday school, visit www.rotation.org.
During the 2012-2013 school years, the G.R.A.C.E. Place kids will be learning some of the major stories of the Old Testament. We will begin with Abraham and Sarah and continue the story with Joseph. In the spring we will travel with Moses out of Egypt and into the Promised Land.
GRACE Place Update
GRACE Place takes a break during the summer months. Come to our Summer Fun Activities: Wacky Wednesdays, Family Fundays, “Off the Bench” Sports Camp, and Backyard Bible Camp.
This is a vital part of our Christian Education program. We feel that attending worship as a family is the best way for children to learn about worship and its many facets. We encourage children age 5 and older to participate regularly in worship with their families. Children’s bulletins and age-appropriate Bibles are available in the Sanctuary. Children of all ages are occasionally asked to help lead in worship through music, scripture reading, or drama.
FIREPROOF (for 5th and 6th Graders) meets in Room E-3 every Wednesday night from 6:30 – 8 pm with leaders Bruce Kronkright, Connor Hardy and Janet Young. FIREPROOF kids can join us for dinner in Fellowship Hall at 6 pm on Wednesday nights.
