Women's Groups

New life begins in small groups and is where friends are made and faith is formed.  Our women's small groups are a great way to get connected with other women who are interested in growing deeper in their faith with the friendship and support of others.  Relationships are built as the Word of God is studied together.
We offer various women’s Bible study groups during the school year (September through April); some offer childcare while others, generally the evening classes, do not.

Ladies, there’s a class just for you!  Beginning the week of September 10, there are several choices where you can join in on the study Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted by Priscilla Shirer:
  • Mondays at 6:30 pm
  • Wednesdays at 9:00 am (childcare provided)
  • Thursdays at 6:30 pm.                                                                                 We meet at the church in E11 (Fletcher Room) for all classes.  In this seven-session Bible study, Priscilla re-defines interruption and shows that interruption is actually God's invitation to do something beyond our wildest dreams. Be amazed at the possibilities in your own life when you allow, even welcome, God's interruptions.
Starting Wednesday, September 18, 6:30-8:00 pm, we are starting a weekly seminar and support group, called Divorce Care, for women who may be separated or divorced. We are offering a safe place where you can be around people who understand what you are feeling and hear valuable information about how to heal.

Another opportunity for women to get together and study is the Presbyterian Women’s Circle.  A “circle” is a group of women, of all ages, who meet on a regular basis for prayer, study, community building, giving, and fellowship. Special projects are supported from time to time to raise funds for outreach and/or mission work.  There are two groups: Faith Circle which meets on the first Thursday at 9:15 am and Peace Circle which meets on the first Monday at 7:00 pm (except in September due to Labor Day) at.  Both meet in the church.
This year they will be studying: Dispatches to God's Household: The General Epistles by Nancy Benson-Nicol.
The six books of the New Testament are explored in this study: 1 & 2 Peter, 1, 2, & 3 John, and Jude.  The books teach us what it means to live in community and what it means to belong to the household of God.
