Senior Exercise

Don’t forget to “get your groove on” at the twice weekly senior exercise!  Join the group Tuesday and Friday at 9:30 am, in the Fletcher room.  Your body will thank you!

This class generally uses various stretching techniques using a DVD.  This is a great way to get in your exercise and get to know some of the S.A.M.  (Senior Adult Ministry) group. All ages are welcome; however, the exercises are geared for 50+ age groups. Exercise has been proven to improve the quality of life in people with diabetes, muscular dystrophy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Regular exercise can improve blood glucose control, delay or prevent type- 2 diabetes, offset age-associated diseases, and reduce cardiovascular risk, diabetes-related mortality, and depression.
