Rev. Alonzo Smalls
Position: Pastor Emeritus and Founder of Pivot Ministries

Pastor Alonzo Smalls is one of the trailblazers of Pivot ministries. He was saved at the Soul Saving Station for All Nations Church, in Harlem, in New York City. Then a herion addict, Alonzo Smalls has an encounter with Jesus Christ that changed his life. Alonzo went to the Teen Challenge program in Brooklyn, NY. and then onto the Teen Challenge Training Center in Rehrersburg, PA. After successfully completing the program, Alonzo followed his calling to full time Christian ministry by attending Bible College in Southern California.

His first and only assignment that God gave to Alonzo after Bible College,was to come to Faifield County, CT. Where he linked arms with local Pastors and founded Pivot Ministries in 1970. Starting with a small house in Norwalk, CT. Pivot has grown to 3 men's residences ministering to an average of 48-50 men per month.
In 1999 Alonzo retired as Executive Director. He still remains a vital part of the ministry. Named Pastor Emeritus by the Board of Directors, Alonzo weekly shares from his years of love for this program and the men that God brings here.
