Rickey has been with Pivot Ministries now for over 17 years. He has served faithfully in so many facets of this ministry. Rickey will be finishing college soon and be a licensed Christian Therapist. He is a wonderful teacher and counselor. He is another reason for the success of our ministry.
Rickey was born in Louisiana in 1950 into a family of five children. Rickey graduated from University High School and later went into the Marine Corps from 1967-1971. Rickey later married and had one child, the lovely Cicely (a true blessing and cherished treasure). Rickey re-located back to Louisiana until 1979. After the passing of his mother, he moved to Bronx, NY. Rickey was re-married in 1985 to Margie. Life took a twist and Rickey was predisposed to drugs and alcohol. Inner city living and peer pressure were Rickey's triggers.
Rickey came to Pivot in 1989 and graduated a year later. After completing the 3rd phase in Rehrersburg, PA Rickey returned to Pivot and has been here ever since. As our longest-term staff, Rickey has been in a supervisory capacity at Pivot for the last decade. Because of his own experiences, Rickey understands the men who are hurting and devotes himself to helping others like others have helped him.
