The Vision

Dear Partners and Friends:

It is with great excitement that we share with you the vision and the plans for the New Safe Haven Church of God In Christ Ministry.  New Safe Haven Church under the leadership of Pastor John Malone has been established for 13 years, and is in good standing with the International Church’s governing bodies.

The first leg of the church’s journey has been filled with challenges, and with an abundance of blessings, and favors through divine intervention.  As we establish the plans for the next 15 months, we are believing God to touch the hearts of various businesses, contractors, suppliers, and donors to assist in the building of the House of God.

We acquired an eight-acre tract of land and plan to start the construction of a Multi-purpose Activity Center within the next four-months. The initial building will serve as both the Worship Center, and the Family Life Center, until future buildings are completed.

In addition to construction costs, the church will need an additional $50,000 for furnishings of chairs, and tables, musical equipment, and appropriate appliances to complete the commercial kitchen.

As an outreach ministry, we feel that it is imperative that our ministry remain active in the community.  We are dedicated to active ministry at the Garland Convalescent Center, and the Salvation Army.  Additionally, our church provides donations to the Red Cross to help in the aftermath of catastrophic events, and annual food collection to support the North Texas Food Bank.  Other ministries of New Safe Haven include tutoring students, and providing food to assist families that are facing a temporary crisis.

Upon completion of phase 1 of the building project, New Safe Haven will host free or low cost classes, and workshops to the community to help strengthen families.  The classes will include parenting sessions, computer training, and homework tutorials. Additionally, a new ministry effort will be launched to provide free cooked meals to home-bound and elderly citizens of the East Garland community.

New Safe Haven Church is a registered 501(c)3 religious charitable organization.  As a recognized 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation, donors can be assured that financial contributions and gifts are tax-deductible by the Internal Revenue Service.

Your kind consideration and support are greatly needed to assist in the endeavors that God has ordered for Pastor Malone and New Safe Haven Church. Please partner with us in this great work!

May God bless you and keep you is our prayer.
