Set apart to serve and proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, Minister Bankole Akinbinu passionately pursues the call given to him at an early age. Having been reared in the church, Minister Akinbinu accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at the age of 10. He was later called into the Gospel Ministry at 16 years of age, and preached his trial sermon on June 16, 2001 at Community Bible Baptist Church. After serving 8 years as a licensed minister, he was ordained on September 29, 2009.
Minsiter Akinbinu served as the Young Adult Assistant Pastor of Community Bible Baptist Church, under the Pastoral leadership of Rev. Dr. Clevester O. Wimbish. he was instrumental in leading the early morning Young Adult Service and working with the new and growing ministry. He was a faithful member of the Young Adult Praise Team, Morning Glory. He is now the Youth and Young Adult Pastor at St. James A.M.E. Church in Newark, New Jersey, under Rev. Dr. William D. Watley.
Minister Akinbinu lives unashamedly for the Lord, even in high school, a time where most youth are embarrassed to be set apart for God. Minister Akinbinu founded a Prayer Club at Bowie High School and it is still in existence today. He began his undergraduate studies at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, transferring his sophomore year to Washington Bible College in Lanham, Maryland, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Bible Theology. In August 2007, he married Angel Scriber. He and his wife now reside in New Jersey where he is a 2010 Master's of Divinity candidate at Princeton Thological Seminary.
Minister Akinbinu is a dynamic preacher whose wisdom far exceeds his age. He is passionate about spreading the Gospel and does not take lightly the responsibility God has placed in his hands. He has been blessed abundantly with the opportunity to express the gift God has given him on various platforms. He stands on the promise of Phillipians 1:6, "He that hath begun a good work in you, is faithful to perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."
