|Rev. Anthony Allen, Jr.|
|Anthony Raymond Allen Jr. was born on June 9, 1978 to Anthony R. Allen Sr. and Ivory Jill Ellis. He is married to Ashanti F. Certain-Allen, has one daughter; Toni Allen and son Antonio Allen. Anthony grew up in the Washington D.C. area and came to hear about Jesus Christ at an early age. His grandparents, Rev. Benjamin Holloway and Shirley Holloway, took him to Vacation Bible School and he was baptized when he was 10. It wasn’t until September of 2003 that Anthony followed his grandfather to Community Bible Baptist Church and rededicated his life to Jesus Christ. Since Anthony has joined CBBC, he has been extremely involved in working with and leading various ministries.
Anthony is the co-founder of the Project H.O.P.E3 Youth Ministry and works very close with youth leaders to help equip, empower, and establish today’s youth. He helped many kids come to Christ while working for Young Life Ministry and became one of the 1st chief coordinators to institute an on-going Bible Study at Cardozo High School in Washington, DC. Anthony serves as the Assistant Sunday School Superintendent, he is the Vice-President of the Men’s Fellowship, he is a Sunday school teacher for the “Christian Training Class”, and he was Ordained as a Deacon in March 2006.
Realizing that his true calling was to minister, he accepted his call and was licensed to preach the gospel on Dec. 27, 2008. In such a short time, Anthony has really grown in his Christian walk and he loves to serve the Lord. He is a current student at the Washington Baptist Seminary where he is continuing his studies to further his ministry. If you ever talk to him, then you will find that one of his favorite scriptures is Romans 14:22 “Do you have faith? Have to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.” Minister Allen currently serves as Youth Minister at Iconium Baptist Church in Capitol Heights, MD.
