HFN is about improving the well-being of Idaho families and children by strengthening marriages and encouraging healthy families!  Healthy marriages translate to healthy families, which are the backbone of healthy communities.  Just as the family is the foundation of society, the marital relationship is the foundation of the family.  By reducing conflict and increasing communication, stressors can be diminished.  This further reduces domestic violence, child abuse, and divorce and its effect on children, such as:  absenteeism, medical costs, an learning and social deficiencies.  Marriage creates the safest place for children to flourish, the only practical way for children to enjoy the full emotional, moral and financial protection of both parents.
