John and Renee Michno are Assembly of God missionaries to Saint Petersburg, Russia where they planted and pastor International Christian Assembly since 2005. The Michno’s have been active in ministry for over 30 years, including fifteen years of ministry overseas. They began as Associate pastors at First Assembly, Garden Grove, California shortly after marriage in 1980. From 1982-1985 they pastored Slavic Assembly of God in Montebello, California. John was ordained by the Southern California District Assembly of God in 1983.
In June of 1985, John entered the US Army as a Chaplain. During his career as Chaplain he served in eleven military units and pastored seven congregations. Following retirement from the US Army in February of 2003, John and Renee began a new career as missionaries. Prior to ministry in Saint Petersburg, they served as Missionary Associates in Kyiv, Ukraine for fifteen months as interim pastors of the International Christian Assembly.
John and Renee have two daughters and son-in-laws. Natasha and Matt are graduate students at the University of Kansas, and Katy and WO1 Brian Jenkins live and work in Fort Rucker, AL.
