Amy & Sopheak Kheng

Ministering to the 60,000 Cambodian People of Greater Long Beach, CA

With hundreds of Buddhist Temples and no existing A/G Cambodian speaking fellowships, Amy and Sopheak saw a great need that God could use them in solving. The Cambodian people are largely illiterate and need gifted story tellers to present the Bible in a chronological order in traditional Cambodian style formats. The Cambodian people have a lot less of an understanding of God than most cultures average Americans are familiar with. It is vitally important to discuss such issues of clarifying terms such as "God", "Angels", "Demons", "sin", et.,. before introducing them to Jesus. Sopheak and Amy are familiar with Cambodian misunderstandings and are equipped to lead the Cambodian people into authentic relationships with Christ.
Currently Sopheak and Amy are leading Bible study discussion groups twice a week and hope to open a Sunday service soon.
