COD is located at 701 W. Sierra Madre Ave in Glendora, 91741 (click here for directions). Once you turn into our driveway follow the signs to find the place of worship you are seeking. What Do I Wear?
Dress comfortably. Most people wear casual and comfortable clothes on Sunday mornings. Don't worry about what you wear, just come and experience our community of faith.
When Do I Need To Arrive?
Plan to arrive about 15 minutes before the service starts (click here for service times). This will allow plenty of time for parking and to comfortably walk your children to their groups.
Yes! Swing by our Guest Information Table in front of either of our worship centers. One of our service hosts would love to show you around and answer any questions. They will assist you in finding the Children’s church location or Sunday School class for your children and any other needs you have. Don’t forget to pick up a Guest Gift Bag that will help you get acquainted with our church.
COD 101: A day in the life of COD is a 6-week class to get to know the heart, vision, leadership and ministries of the Church of the Open Door. This is an important group to join to feel “at home” at COD. There will be a tour of the campus, interviews of key ministry leaders, and a great venue to get your questions answered. All of the most important ministries and values of the church will be discussed. (Click here for more information).
If you have Nursery or Preschool aged children, birth through PreK, you can take them to our Nursery (Click here for more information). In our nursery, we provide a safe, clean, and secure environment where your children will be well taken care of and taught a practical and easy to understand lesson from the Bible today. Our Nursery is located on the East side of the Gym and we provide special parking for families with nursery aged children.
At 9:30am your Elementary School age children (grades K-5), will attend Sunday School where they will learn about the Word of God and grow in their relationship with Christ in a small group setting. At 11am, your children will attend the Lord’s Lab (Children’s church) where they will interact in meaningful worship, instruction, small group application and prayer with their interests and wiggly bodies in mind. Your children will love it. Click here for more information about our Children's Ministry.
At 9:30am your Junior Higher or High Schooler will attend their separate Sunday School classes. Our students are taught God’s Word in a way that equips them to become mature followers of Christ. At 11am, they will come in the Worship Center to worship with you. On Tuesdays (7-8:30pm) our Junior High and High School meet in different locations on the campus to worship, study the Bible, and enjoy activities and games that unite. Camps and mission trips occur throughout the year. Relational discipleship and equipping are the focus in this ministry. (Click here for more info and a current calendar of events)
Steppin’ Out was designed to offer those suffering in the cycle of addiction or those trying to cope with the pain of living with an addict a safe place to heal with others through the power of Jesus Christ. Through love, support and encouragement from leaders who have overcome in Christ, despair gives way to hope, knowing that God not only heals, but has planned a wonderful future you.
