  • To create safe, healthy and enriching environments for Arkansas youth during out-of-school time, proponents must join together as a united voice.
  • In a time of limited resources, competing demands, and changing priorities those who understand the values of these programs must work more effectively.

  • Parents, providers, child advocates, churches, business leaders, school officials, and local community leaders working in partnerships can better utilize existing resources, promote training, and ensure best practices.

  • Ten organizations have come together to form the Arkansas Out-of-School Network (AOSN). This network recently received a three year Charles Stewart Moot Foundation grant to strengthen, expand, and sustain Arkansas? school-based and school-linked services to children and youth.

  • Primary partners in AOSN include: ASU Childhood Services, Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, U.of A. Cooperative Extension 4-H Youth Development, Arkansas PTA, Arkansas Department of Education, New Futures for Youth, and New Futures for Youth.

  • Please Join AOSN. Partnerships build public support, empower advocates, and expand the number of stakeholders wiling to step forward.

  • Help AOSN distribute the research, develop the message, and build a local constituency across the state to build a high quality sustainable system of services that link together our families, schools, and communities.
