We believe the Lord Jesus Christ to be God, one of the Holy Trinity; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus is God in eternity, in history and in the world today. Having Jesus as our Saviour who was there in the beginning, but who will continue to be there forever, is awesome. We believe in the Holy Trinity who together and separately are God, abiding always there for us.
We believe in the virgin birth, death and resurrection of Jesus. Jesus came as a baby into this world so you could identify with him as both a man and God. In history Jesus died so that we might have eternal life, but also have that eternal life now. He paid the ultimate price for our lives. At High Road Church we also affirm the witness of hundreds who saw Jesus alive after his death on the cross.
We believe by grace through faith, individuals are saved from death and receive eternal life through our Risen Saviour Jesus Christ. Eternal life is a gift from God, given in his grace. This eternal life comes through Jesus and is made available to believers in Christ. We have the great hope that we will spend eternity in heaven because Jesus went to heaven to prepare a place for us.
We acknowledge Christ's atonement for our sins and the power of the Holy Spirit to live the Christian life. Christ’s act on the cross washes away our sin. By knowing Christ we have been set free to daily live our lives anew in him. At High Road Church we believe in the power of God, the Holy Spirit to enrich and strengthen us for personal and community life.
