The basis of our belief is in the 66 books of the Bible, both the Old and New Testament. We believe that all of Scripture came from God and was revealed to people chosen specifically for that purpose. Scripture speaks with God's authority while reflecting the backgrounds and style of the human authors.
God exists in three persons--Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God created the world and everything in it. God came in the true man, Jesus and is still active in history today through the Holy Spirit.
God's desire is to be in fellowship with all people. Through sin, human beings have alienated themselves from God. This "fall" happened at the beginning of human history and all people are in need of God's saving grace.
This salvation is the work of God's free grace, rather than coming from some work of our own. Each person can receive salvation by repenting (turning from sin) and faith.
The second person of the Trinity is Jesus Christ. He was miraculously conceived and born of a human mother. He lived a life of perfect obedience to God. Jesus voluntarily paid the price for the sins of human beings by dying on the cross as our substitute. After death, Jesus rose from the dead and is now Mediator between God and humans. He has promised that he will come again to earth to complete God's plan.
The Holy Spirit
The third person of the Trinity is the Holy Spirit. It is through the Spirit where every believer is given gifts to build up the body of Christ. The Holy Spirit guides believers in understanding God's will for their lives. As Christians we "bear fruit" with the aid of the Holy Spirit.
It is through union with Jesus Christ that all believers become members of the Body, the one true Church. Believers gather to worship, pray, fellowship, study. The local expression of the church is found wherever God's people meet regularly. Members work together to glorify God.
