Community Outreach

 President: Sis.Nicole Wooden

Mission Statement

The purpose of Community Outreach Ministry Events (C.O.M.E) is to extend God’s love to those within the community who have the greatest need. The ministry serves with other ministries within the church to physically and spiritually feed the community, through prayer, fellowship, and the provision of donated items.  The ministry also provides volunteer services to the Lawrenceville Cooperative Ministry (CO-OP) by assisting in meeting the emergency food needs of the individuals and families that reside in Lawrenceville and Dacula.  Volunteers are trained to interview, mentor, and evangelize to the clients.

Through volunteering, the ministry assists the CO-OP with their mission, which is to glorify God and demonstrate God’s love for those in crisis.  The CO-OP also seeks to preserve the clients’ dignity while encouraging self-responsibility and spiritual growth.

For further information regarding the CO-OP please visit: www.lawrencevilleco-op.org.  This month we will be collecting canned vegatable, corn, green beans and peas.
