Our 7th Annual Father Daughter Dance was a HUGE success. We had 270 father/daughters join us for an incredible night under the stars! I want to thank all those who worked so hard to make the event happen and to thank all of you fathers who were able to attend with your beautiful daughters! I hope you got your gifts on the way out one of which was a dinner for you and your daughter to have another date night. Here are a few tips and sample questions for your next date together.
Date tips with your daughter:
- Get dinner to go and have a picnic with her at a park or other scenic place.
- Watch with her your favorite childhood movie when you were her age and talk about it.
- Take her to play on a local playground.
- Have some more dance time with her in the family room with some of her favorite songs cued up ready to go.
- Take her ice skating or roller skating.
- Take her shopping at one of her favorite places.
- Write her a note telling her what you love about her (give specifics) and read it to her on the date.
- Take her to play miniature golf.
- Take her fishing with you and give her some pointers.
Questions to ask your daughter on your date:
- What makes you happy? What makes you sad?
- Who are your best friends? Why?
- Who do you most want to be like when you grow up? Why?
- What is your greatest fear?
- Are there any promises that I've made to you that I haven't made good on yet?
- What do you most like to do with me?
- What causes you to lose sleep? Why?
- If you could change something about yourself what would it be? Why?
- Who do you think you are most like of the Winnie the Pooh characters? Who do you think I am most like? [Pooh, Piglet, Christopher Robin, Owl, Tigger, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, or Eeyore]

Christ Kingdom Church exists to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to our hearts, our church, and the world around us. We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America.
